PT. Kaltim Methanol Industry and Employees, handed over assistance for the prevention and handling of covid-19 in the city of Bontang to the Mayor of Bontang on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the Bontang Mayor's Office.
The Mayor of Bontang, Neni Moerniaeni, on various occasions urged the public to practice social distancing to break the chain from person to person. "Let's break the chain, by doing social and physical distancing, " he said. Residents who have just come from traveling and reporting as well as ODP, he continued, obeying the health protocol for self-quarantine need to be supported, not stigmatized as a source of transmission. Thus their compliance becomes a shared responsibility. As directed by the Mayor of Bontang, strict monitoring is needed and not creating a negative stigma that creates unrest.
"The Bontang City Government really appreciates the efforts and solidarity of community movements, actions, volunteers, communities, including assistance from PT. Kaltim Methanol Industry and Employees in order to break the chain of spread and help in the form of equipment to prevent the transmission of COVID-19," said Neni. In addition, the government also appeals to PT. Kaltim Methanol and its employees to maintain a clean and healthy lifestyle by washing hands with soap and running water, eating vegetables and fruit, doing measurable activities, and keeping the work environment clean.
